Computer is basically a machine that works with the help of various tools ,Software applications , Hardware Resources and an Internet Connection(needed as per use). Although each and every part of a computer plays a significant role as each organ in a Human Body but a Keyboard can be referred as the Backbone of a Computer.  Keyboard is an input device which proves to be useful while communicating with the machine. You need a language to communicate with the computer but most importantly you need a tool through which you can encode this message in a language through which computer understands it well. In my opinion , Yes a camera can prove itself an important tool while video conferencing but it depends on which type of conference you are in. Suppose in an online interview a camera plays significant role but during online school/college class lectures it is sufficient that only teacher uses his/her camera.
